CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE . On Sunday, NOVEMBER
24, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Marshville Heritage Society offers its Christmas gift to the community: "Christmas
in the Village." Set in the Marshville Heritage Village in Wainfleet, this annual event offers something of interest for the
whole family. Visitors are invited to experience the tastes of Christmas Past, with soup simmering over an open fire in the
Stone House, hot cider and Christmas pudding in the Log Cabin, and sweet treats in Father Christmas' workshop in the Carpenter's
Shop. Children will enjoy meeting Father Christmas himself, and decorating gingerbread cookies. A children's concert in the
Schoolhouse, Music of the season in the Church, and carollers will provide the sights and sounds of a nineteenth-century Christmas. It
would not be Christmas without the MANGER & Mary & Joseph, the shepherds & Wisemen celebrating the birth of BABY
JESUS. A Victorian tea will be offered in the Patrons of Industry Hall. This very special event is offered for only a free-will
donation. Come and get into the Christmas spirit in the good, old-fashioned way.
